We are always so grateful when a bride takes the time to tell us about her experience at The Farnham Boutique. From initially choosing your dress to the big day its a journey you'll never forget.

Amelia came to us last year and got married in July, here is her story...

"The Farnham Boutique was recommended to me by a friend who had a very positive experience, and I too was not disappointed. As soon as my mum and I walked into the pretty shop I felt very relaxed and excited about the dresses I would be trying on. We had a very warm welcome from the start. The environment is professional yet cosy and informal - I almost felt like I was in my own front living room because it was such a private experience!

I was given a selection of dresses to try on by Tia, based on a few suggestions I had already provided. I was given a range of dresses, which really helped to narrow down what I really liked and disliked. The dresses in the Farnham Boutique are beautiful, and there is a huge variety to suit every preference. I knew I wanted a fitted dress with lace and a train, and there were many options to choose from. Once I had found a couple of styles I liked, I discussed with Tia whether the two could be combined. She said that they could, and she helped to put the shapes and lines I had in my mind into a reality. Essentially my dress was bespoke, from the scalloping at the back with the cleverly disguised Jennie beads, to the shape of the skirt and length of the train (which I extended), down to the numbers of beads, pearls and sparkles on each part of the dress to create a beautiful effect.

I had two further fittings to make some adjustments, all of which were quite minor because the dress had been made to measure so well initially. The girls were very reassuring and listened to my comments as well as giving some great advice (including helping me decide whether ‘to veil or not to veil’!), and I felt very comfortable in the dress by the time it was ready.

They also helped me choose some beautiful accessories and jewellery to compliment the dress perfectly.

I had visited a few shops before the Farnham Boutique within my budget, and by a mile the Farnham Boutique was the best value for money. Some of the other shops didn’t offer such a bespoke service, so after my first visit to the Farnham Boutique I knew that the hunt for my perfect dress was over because they helped me to create it. I love it so much that I wore it again at our post-wedding party two weeks later!
